2025 Prime FORM Compound Bow: First Look

By December 11, 2024

For 2025, Prime has released what can easily be described as the most unique looking bow to hit the bow rack in a long time. The all-new Prime FORM stands in a class all its own with a hybrid design that blends both aluminum and carbon into one bow that Prime is calling the stiffest bow to ever hit the market.

There’s been a wide variety of feedback since the bow’s launch, both from eager Prime fans, to critical skeptics and everything in between. This bow is truly creating a lot of buzz from bowhunters across the country.

So what’s the big deal on this aluminum/carbon hybrid design? Why does it work? How is it done?

The Prime team says it’s all about their new Advanced Structures Technology (AST) that brings together the perfect blend of materials, in just the right place to perfect this newest bow option.

What’s the benefit? Prime says this unique design results in a lighter, stiffer, more precisely made bow. The bow’s American-made carbon rods are of the lightest, strongest, most consistent forms of carbon.

Using these allows Prime to increase stiffness by 47.5% while decreasing overall weight by nearly half a pound.

Core Cam System

The bow also features the popular Core Cam System. This cam design is a carry over from a tried and true cam system we’ve seen in recent years from Prime, and it works.

In fact, it’s Prime’s most tunable and accurate system ever produced with industry leading nock travel, efficiency and smooth draw feel. Some shooters may balk at the idea of draw length specific mods. However, the Prime team says the cam maximizes efficiency through draw length specific mods at every draw length.

Quick Tune Technology

The bow’s Quick Tune Technology makes short work of the tuning process, allowing the cam to be shifted left or right very precisely and rigidly without extra weight or complexity in an easy, straight-forward way without needing to pull the axle.

Easier tuning bows are the rage these days among bow manufacturers and Prime is right in the middle of it with the Quick Tune design. It makes things easier for the archer, and/or the shop tech setting up a bow.

Nano Grip

The grip on Prime bows is one of the most unique grip designs you’ll find anywhere. It’s built for comfort and consistency, on the range and in the woods.

The grip is made with Aerogel technology for a warm-to-the-touch grip for the best in comfort. In fact, the longer you have your hand on the grip, the warmer it gets.

The bow is also built for better balance with the integrated arrow rest mount above the grip and picatinny sight mount out front.

The Prime FORM sells for $1595. Check it out at your local Prime dealer or online at www.g5prime.com
