Customization Is Key
Hunters are able to customize just about any piece of gear or weapon they use. The new Ravus is no exception. With a multitude of accessories, you can have your pack setup exactly how you need it.
The new laser cut panel on the front and bottom of the pack, allows for additional attachment of accessories. When you order a Ravus, it comes with one Ravus Pocket, which can be attached to the front or bottom of the main pack.
The Ravus Pocket measures 1.5″ tall by 6″ wide and 3.25″ deep. It features dual zippers that are ideal for both right and left-handed users. An additional Pocket can be bought and attached, so you could stack 2 of them on the bottom, put one in front and one on the bottom, or stack them on the front if you want.
The Pocket is perfect for any smaller accessories you like to bring with while hunting. Whether it’s your headlamp after an early morning walk to the stand, your wind-checking device, or a gutting knife.Â
Not only can you move the Ravus Pocket to your desired location, but you can also attach any new or existing Alaska Guide Creations Accessories to the bino pack. Some new accessories that will be coming out soon are the Bow Hook, Mag Rangefinder Pouch, XL Holster, Bear Spray Holster, and Cell Mag.
Ravus Bino Pack New Features
One of the main new features that you’ll notice right away, is the forward opening lid with a quiet, magnetic closure.
Previous AGC harnesses featured a rear opening lid with a short bungee cord to keep the pack closed. Now, when removing your binoculars from the harness, the lid will stay open until you want to close it.
Despite the new lid design, they kept the same reliable elastic cellphone sleeves on top of the lid. These sleeves really come in handy when using a map on your phone. It’s easy to slide the phone out and take a peek at where you are, then slide it back into the pocket.
The main compartment of the Ravus bino pack will fit most binoculars up to 12×50, including most rangefinding binoculars. The rear, mesh compartment is perfect for storing your tags, license, zip-ties, or any other small item you may need. While the side pockets are perfect for holding wind-checkers, your handheld bow release, or any other small items you’ll need quick access to.
In addition to the newly designed pack, Alaska Guide Creations has developed a new Gen L Harness, which will be available for most other AGC harnesses. The Gen L Harness is a slim, padded harness that keeps all the excess webbing within the shoulders, so they’re no longer dangling about.
Along with the Gen L Harness, the new Pro Tethers are a more sleek and streamlined version of the previous tethers. If you want to keep your binoculars safe from potential falls, or just like to be able to let go of them when needed, you’ll love the new Pro Tethers.
