When it comes to quality ATV and UTV accessories, Moose Utility Division is second to none. Whether you’re out planting a food plot in the summer, or lugging out that big buck in the fall, they’ve got everything you need.
Purchasing your first piece of “equipment” can be a time consuming, and somewhat daunting task. But with the quality that we’ve seen from Moose over the years, we can always rest assured that their equipment will stand up to the test that hunters and land managers put it through.
Take a look at how simple and easy it is to assemble the Moose Utility Division ATV/UTV spreader…
First Look
The first thing you’ll notice, is that this stuff isn’t made with cheap parts or materials. The hitch receiver bracket is made of powder-coated 1/4″ steel. So it’s heavy-duty, and welded together to ensure it’s durable enough to last a long time. And the hopper is strong enough to hold up to 145lbs. of seed, dry granular fertilizer, pesticides, or ice melting materials
It’s stainless steel radial 6-blade fan can stand up to any of the corrosive materials that it will be spreading. To ensure no rust, it’s recommended to clean out the fan before and after each use.
Assembly
The spreader comes fully assembled except for the gate handle, which only takes a few seconds to lift the handle up to compress the spring, then slip a rubber washer onto the guide.
The bracket receiver is just as easy to put together. It comes with 2 pins that will slide into place and keep it sturdy. Once you’ve got the receiver put together, all you have to do is bolt it onto the spreader, and you’re almost ready to go!
Once you’ve got the spreader and hitch receiver attached to each other, you can start working on the electrical. Dan decided to have it run off of a 12 volt battery on the passenger side floor of his UTV. So he ran the wiring along the frame and up into the console so that he could mount the variable-speed controller on his dashboard.
