Most Tested Crossbow Ever
One of the main fears of a 500fps crossbow is safety. TenPoint wanted to assure that this crossbow was completely safe to shoot for many years, so they made this their most tested crossbow ever.
Although this isn’t technically the first 500fps crossbow ever made, this one is actually available right now! There’s been other competitors who have “released” a 500fps crossbow, but then weren’t actually able to make that crossbow safe. Like we said, the Nitro 505 is TenPoint’s most tested crossbow ever with over 25,000 shots put through this design, and you can buy one right now.
New Features
TenPoint was able to eclipse the 500fps mark by upgrading a few different aspects of this crossbow. They beefed up the string and cables, introduced a new RX8 Cam System, and it has a new 20-inch Micro-Trac Barrel.
They increased the strand count on the string and cables for added strength and durability. The RX8 Cam System rotates a total of 404 degrees to create the longest speed-generating power stroke on a crossbow ever. And the cams also have wider cable grooves for reduced wear.
Other Package Options
Last year, TenPoint’s flagship crossbow was the Vapor RS470 Xero and it was available with the Garmin XERO X1i Rangefinding Scope. This year, the Nitro 505 is also available in the Garmin XERO package, or the new Burris Oracle X package.
The Garmin XERO X1i Rangefinding Scope has a built-in laser rangefinder. With the press of a button, the digital scope automatically measures distance to a target and provides precise illuminated aim points that adjust to the outside lighting.
The Burris Oracle X Rangefinding Scope also features a built-in laser rangefinder, but it’s activated by either the wireless remote, or the range button on the scope. This scope instantly displays the distance of your target and provides an exact aim point.
