I know it’s more of a personal issue, but where is the best place to hang your bow while in the tree? I’m a right-handed shooter and I place it on my left side so the handle is about shoulder high when I’m standing. What do you guys usually do?

I do the exact same thing. Since I'm filming all my hunts, I have my camera lower on my right side, and my bow handle at about shoulder height on my left side.
