The big question in the woods this fall will be “Do you see green”? That’s what Under Armour, the MD-based leader in sports performance apparel, footwear, and accessories, will be asking hunters across the country. Along with that question, Under Armour launches a hard-hitting, in your face campaign to promote its highly anticipated “Scent Control” product line. This new technology will give hunters an option other than the “carbon” alternative which has seen its share of skepticism over the years. The exclusive Under Armour Scent Control technology is engineered with a highly innovative system that controls scent and lasts ten times longer than what is used in carbon-based clothing.
Supporting the product launch will be a series of commercials featuring top whitetail hunter and Under Armour Arsenal member, The Crush’s Lee Lakosky beginning today, June 15, 2012. In addition, Print advertisements featuring elite hunters from the UA Arsenal will appear in multiple publications during the summer preparation and fall/winter hunting seasons.
Under Armour Promises to get hunters closer to big-game this fall.
Under Armour plans to engage the consumer through an interactive Facebook app customized for the Scent Control launch that will give UA Hunt fans the ability to upload their very own hunting photo and give it the “Under Armour Scent Control treatment,” which will essentially turn the hunter’s eyes a bright shade of velocity green; the same as featured in the commercial and print ads. Fans will also qualify to win a dream hunt with one of the UA Arsenal members, in addition to being outfitted head-to-toe in Under Armour Scent Control gear.
The distinctive Velocity Green UA symbol will be a clear indicator that the new Scent Control Technology is inside the garment.
Under Armour’s goal with the Scent Control campaign is to properly educate hunters and provide them with the most cuting-edge hunting gear that will ultimately help make them better and more successful in the field. “Science and innovation have always been the driving force behind the Under Armour Brand,” says Bryan Offutt, Under Armour Director of Outdoor Marketing.
Under Armour will also introduce the same Scent Control Technology in a field spray.
The new Under Armour Scent Control product line will be available on UA.com and select outdoor and sporting goods retailers beginning in July.
