LaCrosse Footwear
Adding to their legendary line of hunting boots, LaCrosse introduces the new Quick Shot. This boot features a tongue-to-toe lacing system for a completely secure fit that is crucial when traversing difficult terrain. The Quick Shot also comes with a water-proof, Scent Dry Lining and your choice of either non-insulated or a 600 gram Thinsulate Ultra insulation model. The suede leather and 900-denier nylon upper is tough and abrasion resistant which means your boots will still look good and function properly after years of use.
NAP
The folks at NAP are known for quality products that make the lives of bowhunters much easier and the new Speedfletch is a step beyond their popular Quikfletch fletching system from years past. In essences, the Speedfletch is a “slip over” fletching system that incorporates glue rather than the shrink-fletch design of the Quikfletch. The rubber “sleeve” slides over the arrow and is attached with a drop of glue at both ends. The sleeves hold three tough, 2-inch Twister vanes set a two degree offset. The Speedfletch incorporates NAP’s Micro-groove Technology for faster arrow spin rates and come in orange, yellow, green, and white. In addition, a Speedfletch logo is applied to the cock vane for fast shooting alignment.
Easton
Featuring next-generation, high definition graphics applied to a carbon shaft, the all new Easton BowFire has broadhead hunting accuracy and speed to burn. This new Easton arrow is a standard diameter shaft with exclusive White-Hot graphics which make it easier to track in flight or after the shoot. Direct-fit S Nocks and standard RPS inserts are included and complement the BowFire’s outstanding specs.
Bohning
Joining the “slide over” vane system, Bohning introduces the new Stretch Fletch system. Each consists of a 2 7/8-inch molded sleeve that holds three Bohning Blazer vanes on a 3-degree right helical offset. The entire system slides over the arrow shaft and is held in place with a drop of included adhesive. The Stretch Fletch sleeve is molded from the same material used to manufacture the popular Blazer vanes so they are highly durable and last a long time. Designed for standard arrow shafts with an outside diameter of .293-.306 inch and comes in Neon Green, Orange, Yellow, Hot Pink and White.
Flying Arrow Archery
This company made a significant impact last year with the introduction of the Toxic broadhead and its radical blade design. New this year is the Cyclone. With a slightly more “traditional” design (a slightly lesser twist in the blades), the Cyclone is a happy medium between the Toxic broadhead and a traditional 3 blade design. With a 1” cutting diameter (100 grain) and a 1 1/8” cutting diameter (125 grain), in addition to a bone crushing Chisel tip, the Cyclone unleashes a lethal, spiral wound channels that is quite unique and unlike anything you’ve seen.
Wasp
Wasp Archery is no stranger to the broadhead game. For 2014 the company unveils the Drone. A compact, solid-steel ferrule allows for reduced surface area which results in top-notch accuracy, strength, and penetration. The brawny ferrule, which when combined with Wasp’s exclusive Stainless Smart Tip (SST) and legendary blades create a killer broadhead. The chisel-tip design cuts a straight path for the blades and leaves a destructive 1 1/8-inch cutting swath. The Drone is available in 100 grains.
Badlands
The first back pack out of the gate for back pack juggernaut Badlands was the 2200. That was some 20 years ago. This pack has withstood the test of time because it is highly effective and tough as nails. However, customers have long wanted an upgrade to this popular hauler. In addition to being lighter, the new 2200 has a third strap for added stability as well as a new-and-improved meat shelf. The pockets have also been reconfigured for easier loading and better organization of vital equipment. Also, an improved waist belt sizing will now accommodate a larger range of waist sizes. The 2200 comes in Realtree Xtra and MAX-1 Camo.
Lone Wolf
Known for arguably some of the lightest, quietest stands in the industry, Lone Wolf enters 2014 with the introduction of the Alpha Tech F1. The Alpha Tech F1 is featured packed and affordably priced for today’s diehard bowhunter. While the one piece, cast-aluminum platform of the traditional Lone Wolf stand is missing, the Alpha Tech F1 does incorporate a host of other Lone Wolf technologies. These include: self-leveling, versa button, offset bracket, adjustable seat and easy-hank hook. The extra-thick contoured foam seat goes well with the roomy 30”x19.5” platform and is rated for 300 lbs. The Alpha Tech F1 comes in at under 14 lbs and includes a TMA Approved 6-pt Fall Arrest system.
